|Welcome to Ralph’s Robots! At this site, I share my experiences with robotics and everybody is welcome to come along. Hopefully, there will be something to learn here for everyone. And, please feel free to interact via the comments section be it questions, suggestions or anything. Also, feel free to shamelessly plug your robotics blog or site here too!
Meet R1, the star of this site! He is my first robot and only robot so far.
R1 is built from parts available on the internet. He’s got an Arduino compatible microcontroller on-board and is wirelessly linked to a laptop running Python code with the EPD scientific library.
This video explains the use of fixed point arithmetic as an alternative to floating point on the Arduino.
Eliminating floating point from your program can speed it up and use much less flash memory – leaving more room for your program.
